If you’re not familiar with this fast food chain, Sandy’s was a burger joint that started in central Illinois. Funnily, the restaurant chain’s owner actually set out to begin opening multiple McDonald’s franchises! However, due to the number of fast food eateries in that area, there were very high fees to open another.
Instead, the businessman decided it would be better to open a new chain of burgers joints, named Sandy’s. However, the venture only lasted two decades before the competition took over, and Sandy’s had no choice but to close its doors permanently. Unfortunately, they were not able to compete with the TV advertising the bigger restaurant chains could afford.
