If you were looking for a place where you could have some great food while being entertained, then Casa Bonita was definitely your place. The was a Mexican restaurant chain that entertained you while you ate, also known as “eatertainment.” In fact, many other failed restaurant chains followed Casa Bonita’s suit, like Rainforest Cafe. However, Casa Bonita reigned supreme, with play areas, cliff divers, and delicious Mexican food.
Eventually, the value of “eatertainment” weighed. Today, there’s currently only one location left open, it is now operating under a different name. Most remember Casa Bonita best not from actual memories, but an episode of the TV show South Park that revolves around the restaurant.
