Of course, Hauser does not think that anyone should jump in the ocean to recreate this event. More research is needed, and there are a lot safer ways to see and feel the magic of nature. However, while some have hated going through such a traumatic experience, Hauser is happy it happened to her.
“It’s funny how the tables are turned here: I’ve spent the past 28 years protecting whales, and in the moment, I didn’t even realize that they were protecting me!” Hauser commented in a recent interview. Now, thanks to her incredible tale, the marine biologist has become something of a celebrity!
