Over the years, movies have given us some of the best one hit wonders of all time. Just take “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” for example. When the song debuted as part of the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, music lovers around the world fell in love. The sappy ballad played at the exact same time as the movie’s iconic dance move and, soon after, tore up the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
While singers Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes had mildly successful solo careers, and Medley charted more number one hits as part of the Righteous Brothers, they never found the same fame they did on “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” Despite this, the two never collaborated again.
