There are not many twins who have charted number one hits, and The Proclaimers are almost certainly the only one hit wonder twins from Scotland. While “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” only reached number three in the United States, it was enough to, but the brothers in the one hit wonder hall of fame. Today, the show is found on most road trip playlists and frequently played at sporting events.
While The Proclaimers never charted another hit, the brothers have remained together. They recently released their 11th album, Angry Cyclist, in 2018.
