Sure, video killed the radio star, we know that. However, another question remains: who do we blame for The Buggles’ incredibly short-lived career? The band became a radio favorite thanks to their iconic song, “Video Killed The Radio Star.” Funnily enough, the music video for “Video Killed The Radio Star” actually helped launch MTV in 1981!
Sadly, The Buggles disbanded a year after MTV launched, in 1982. However, they have given fans a few reunion concerts over the year, in 1998, 2004, 2010, and 2011. We wonder when the next one will be?
