As Stuart grew up, she soon realized that she had incredible musical talent. In fact, in recent years, her music career has blown up! “[I always knew I wanted to be a musician.] I got side-tracked for a while in fashion (managing a clothing store) but came back to music in 2007 when I moved to Toronto from Victoria, my intention at that time was to get my music career started,” she explained to Taste and Sip Magazine.
While Stuart created “jazz influenced art pop,” with her group, The Jessica Stuart Few, the musician never forgot her time in Japan or her best friend, Fukue. In fact, they both ended up influencing Stuart’s career in ways she never anticipated!
