Sadly, the school in Japan was not going well for Stuart. “My first day in class I was surrounded by the 30 kids in my homeroom who were all talking to me in a language I didn’t understand,” she later recalled. To make matters worse, her new classmates seemed obsessed with Stuart – and not in a good way. They would constantly question her about her blonde hair and different appearance. It just made the young girl feel more different and singled out.

Despite their obsession with her, Stuart had a hard time making friends with her schoolmates. But that was all about to change…
