Long before her appearance on Law & Order, Jill Hennessy played the role of Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on its predecessor, Homicide: Life on the Streets. Upon leaving the series in 1996, Hennessy took on the titular character in the medical crime drama Crossing Jordan. Winning the hearts of fans and critics, the series ran from 2001 to 2007, earning Hennessy multiple accolades and global fame.
Beyond her acting repertoire, Hennessy is also a musician with two albums under her name. In an interview with Billboard magazine, she describes her sound as “New Orleans swamp funeral procession.”
