There’s no doubt that Sam Waterston’s Jack McCoy is one of Law & Order’s most-loved characters. The fiery and lovable prosecutor played a defining role in the show’s run. When Waterston’s time on the show ended, he went on to play other iconic television characters in Newsroom and Grace and Frankie.
Aside from his prolific acting career, Waterston has been an active spokesperson and activist for various causes. He constantly campaigns against corruption and is a vocal supporter of the New Hampshire Rebellion that advocates for campaign finance reform.
