Two-time Oscar winner Diane Wiest is one of the biggest stars to have graced the television run of Law & Order. Wiest breathed life into the character of District Attorney Nora Lewin for two seasons between 2000 and 2002. Her character was a force to be reckoned with as the first-ever female District Attorney in New York, a position that has never been held in the real world.
Fans and critics applauded her stellar performance as Lewin, which led to her appearance in the spin-off shows Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit. After her stint on the series, she took on other iconic roles in film and television. In 2008, she played Toni in Passengers, and in 2020, she took the role of Jennifer Peterson in the Netflix movie I Care A Lot.
