This rule has some macabre roots! Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are not allowed to board the same plane, train, or ship as their husbands, in-laws, or each other. But what’s the reason behind this bizarre royal rule? Well, so that in case of an accident or attack, only one royal family member will perish. We told you it was macabre!
Basically, whenever the royal couples go overseas on a shared trip, they never commute together. Unfortunately, since royal couples travel so much to fulfill their duties around the world, it translates in quite a lot of time apart from one another. Even worse, it means that the children must also go with one parent or the other, separating the family. Still, it’s hard not to see why this is a good idea.
