Some anchors get so into their job that they’ll read anything from the teleprompter. So, it’s very important to hire good teleprompter writers and editors. Otherwise, new anchors might end up reading something incredibly embarrassing. While this Alabama anchor did not read something embarrassing, bad teleprompter writing did one of the biggest surprises of her life.
You see, the anchor accidentally ended up reading her own marriage proposal on-air! Yes, that’s right. Under the excuse of receiving breaking news, she read that she was being proposed to. Luckily for the guy, she said yes! Afterward, the weatherman reported that there would be a “100 percent chance of some tears of joy tonight.”
