Vera Lynn is a classic pop singer who rose to fame during World War II. During the war, troops around the world used her musical recordings and performances to alleviate stress. As such, Lynn became known as “The Force’s Sweetheart.” At the same time, she also performed incredible outdoor concerts for U.S. troops in Burma, India, and Egypt. Not only that, but she also became quite an actress, starring in films like Rhythm Serenade and We’ll Meet Again.
In 2009, Lynn became the oldest living artist to top the UK charts, with her album We’ll Meet Again: The Very Best of Vera Lynn. Then, in 2017, Lynn decided to release another compilation album, Vera Lynn 100, to celebrate her centennial year. So it’s really no wonder Lynn’s net worth stands at an impressive $20 million!
