Actor Ron Howard became a household name as the character Opie on the beloved TV show, The Andy Griffith Show back in the 60s. Afterward, Howard continued acting continuously, starring in classic films like The Shootist and American Graffiti. In the 1970s, Howard gained even more recognition as Richie Cunningham on the hit sitcom Happy Days.
However, these days, Howard is better known as a director of hit movies, including The Da Vinci Code, its sequels, and A Beautiful Mind, for which he took home two Academy Awards. What’s more, we don’t suspect he’ll join an old celebrities retirement community anytime soon. Most recently, Howard directed Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2018!
