The Sheik’s riches come from his majority share in Dubai Holding, and his assets with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. The latter invests in up and coming companies. As well as his incredible fortune, he is also known for his support of developing sustainable solutions in Arab countries. The “unofficial ambassador of Dubai” is always promoting Dubai as a perfect destination for pleasure and business.
However, that doesn’t mean he won’t spend some money on himself. In 1979, Rashid Al Maktoum spent a world-record $100 million on his first wedding. What’s more, the Sheik also owns several luxury properties within Europe. Finally, he is the owner of one of the world’s largest yachts and the gold car you see above.
