Dubai’s Royal Family, The House of Maktoum, has reigned over Dubai for 200 years. That’s a long time! The Royal Dynasty has 12 primary members and hundreds of extended family members, making them one of the largest royal families around. Not surprisingly, this Royal family’s wealth is always rising! Altogether, experts peg their worth around $19 billion.
The head of the dynasty and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is the richest family member, by far. He has a personal fortune of $18 billion and serves as the United Arad Emirates (UAE) Vice President and Prime Minister. Dubai’s ruler is also quite the visionary rules. You see, in 2010, he headed the launch of UAE Vision 2021. That day, he created the goal of making the UAE of the best countries in the world by 2021. Let’s see how it goes!
