Brunei’s Royal Family is famously extravagant. For instance, the palace where the Sultan resides cost $1.4 billion to build back in 1984. Meanwhile, the Sultan’s brother, Prince Jefri, lives a lavish life with a palace of 5 swimming pools, 1,788 rooms, 257 bathrooms, 5,000 person banquet hall, and a 110-car garage. What’s more, he has a 152-foot yacht where he often hosts harams.

The Sultan owns 7000 cars, including 600 Rolls Royces and 300 Ferraris. According to Fortune, other Royal possessions include; 17 airplanes, a private zoo, a 12-foot tall rocking horse, 150 homes in 12 different countries, 10 luxury watches valued in $8 million, just to name a few. Reportedly, the Sultan once spent $21,000 on a haircut! “With their money, they could have cured diseases, but they have little interest in the rest of humanity,” an adviser to Jefri said.
