Iowa offers the most amazing sunsets over golden cornfields and its cities and job markets continue to grow. However, it’s losing those living in the suburbs. Nearly three-quarters of those moving away are in search of better employment. You see, in this state, even in-demand jobs pay less than in other states. What’s more, the cost of living in Iowa’s largest cities has increased to levels that many can’t afford.

Besides the pay, many residents complain about Iowa’s weather extremes, poorly funded public schools, and crumbling infrastructure. As one ex-resident so eloquently put it “Iowa is a boring state to live in.”
