Of course, everyone knows that Massachusetts is where you go if you want a high-quality education or wicked fresh lobster roll. However, the insanely high cost of living in this state makes it difficult for its residents to repay student loans – or for anything else, for that matter. While people of all ages are leaving, the 55-and-over crowd is leading the path.
Over half of those who are deciding to leave point to jobs as their number one reason. However, many also point to Massachusetts’ brutal winters, eye-popping housing costs, and terrible traffic congestion as reasons to leave the home of the Red Sox.
