Known as the birthplace of the blues, Mississippi not only offers great music, but it also features Gulf Coast beaches and delicious Southern foods. However, what the Magnolia State doesnā€™t offer is an abundance of jobs. Unfortunately, Mississippiā€™s unemployment rate is among the highest in the entire nation: 5.4% as of late 2019.
