One of the reasons so many Americans are moving to the Beaver State is its exploding tech center. While companies such as Intel and Xerox setting up their offices in the Portland area, the region has been dubbed the “Silicon Forest.” However, it isn’t just the tech industry that’s wooing workers to Oregon.

Oregon created over 42,000 jobs between 2017 and 2018. Not only that, but one of the other growing industries is health care, which added over 6,400 jobs in 2018. On top of that, Oregon offers a mostly mild climate year-round and gorgeous landscapes. So it is really no surprise that Oregon gained 40,059 people between 2016 and 2017.
