To say that excavating the Money Pit was hard work is putting it mildly. Finding the hole became the most challenging part! Unfortunately, the shaft’s exact location had been lost after a haphazard crew in the ’60s allowed mud, water, and debris to collapse multiple holes around the Money Pit. So, the Lagina brothers excavate where they believe the Money Pit is, as well as other locations around the island.
Thankfully, Rick and Marty quickly found proof that they were on the right track: booby trap! Like something from an Indiana Jones movie, the brothers found carefully created shafts designed to flood the Money Pit with water and prevent treasure hunters from digging further!
