While in college, Stokke rarely finished outside of the top ten during an event. She credits Slover with much of her incredible comeback. Without Slover, she could not have managed to focus on the sport of pole vaulting, instead of all the negative attention she had endured as a teenager in high school.
Amazingly, Stokke’s accomplishments at UC Berkely didn’t stop with pole vaulting. The young athlete also managed to graduate with a Master’s Degree in Sociology.
