With her college records behind her, Allison Stokke looked forward to competing in the 2012 London Olympics, to once and for all show the world that she was one of the greatest pole vaulters of all time. Of course, competing at this incredible level is every athlete’s dream.
Eventually, the qualifying day came. The height to join the Olympics was set at 14 feet. Unfortunately, Stokke didn’t manage to clear this barrier. Now, at long last, the young pole vaulter had come to the end of her athletic career. To everyone’s surprise, Stokke did not decide to continue pole-vaulting after failing to make the Olympics. What would she do now? Again, Stokke intended to shock everyone – even her biggest fans!
