Actress Katie Holmes first achieved recognition while on the ‘90s TV hit show Dawson’s Creek, as Joey Potter. Not long after, she made her film debut in the 1997 film, The Ice Storm. From there, Holmes went on to appear in a string of successful films, including Batman Begins, The Gift, and Wonder Boys. Back in 2008, Holmes decided to give theater a try, debuting in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
Outside of the screen, Holmes was briefly married to actor Tom Cruise and the two share a daughter, Suri. Most recently, in 2016, the actress made her directorial debut with the 2016 film All We Had, which she also starred in.
