In case you didn’t know, English actor Jake Wood created the voice of the cute Geico Gecko for over a decade. Rumor has it that the actor was let go after a serious pay dispute with the insurance company. Apparently, Wood refused a pretty extensive pay cut. As a result, Geico axed the actor and found someone cheaper.
However, Wood does not need to worry about too much. After all, he’s an incredibly famous actor who has appeared in thousands of episodes of Britain’s longest-running soap opera, East Enders. So, if you miss the original voice of the Geico gecko, it might be worth checking out the show!
