Because the Amish community is always thinking in the long-term, people would think they do what most Americans and invest their savings in stocks and bonds. However, this couldn’t be further from reality. Craker says, “They only invest in real estate and owning their businesses (carpentry, boat covers, quilts et cetera). They don’t buy stocks and bonds.”
So, we won’t find any Amish people following the stock market for the latest returns any time soon. Instead, the only real investment they make is in real estate, where they can build their family business or homes. Furthermore, they also invest in their own small business.
