Pittsburgh Penguins player Jack Johnson may just have the worst parents in the entire world. A star athlete, he earned $18 million throughout his illustrious career. Then, in 2011, Johnson signed a seven-year deal worth an additional $30.5 million. Unfortunately, before too long, the hockey player would lose everything.
You see, for reasons still unknown, Johnson turned over his power of attorney to his parents. Afterward, the millions clearly went to their head, and they spent more and more. However, Johnson, due to his lack of power, could do nothing to stop them. Eventually, he had nothing! Thankfully, recently, he managed to get out from under them and has a new contract worth $3.25 million. While it’s not nearly as much as his parents took, its a start!
