Bill Johnson – Medical Bills
Bill Johnson was an American world cup alpine ski racer, who, in 1984, made history as the first American to win an Olympic gold medal in alpine skiing. Then, days later, he became the first racer not from an Alpine country to win an Olympic downhill race. Unfortunately for Johnson, a long career did not seem in cards. The very next season, he failed to place better than 7th.
While training for the 2002 Olympics, Johnson found himself broke and living in a motorhome. Horrible, while training, a tragic accident left him in need of need constant care, mostly from his mother. Nearly fifteen years after his accident, Johnson died at the age of 55 in 2016.
