Ray Rice – Legal Fees and Job Loss

Many of you likely remember the great fall of Ray Rice, as it happened quite recently! Just a few years ago, Rice enjoyed a very successful career with the Baltimore Ravens, managing to amass quite a fortune. However, all that came crashing down back in 2014. That’s when an elevator video of Rice physically abusing his fiancée leaked online. Within days, police arrested the player and charged him with aggravated assault on his then-fiancée.
Unsurprisingly, that event caused Rice to lose his position with the Ravens. Furthermore, most of his wealth went to pay for legal fees and penalties. Hey, we don’t expect to see this broke athlete return to the NFL, though he is technically a free agent!
