Luther Elliss rose to fame as a defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions and then the Denver Broncos. However, he’s another former professional NFL star who lost nearly his entire fortune. You see, after his lengthy stay in the NFL world, Elliss went on to become a business investor, though not a very successful one.
After a series of some serious bad investments, Ellis pretty much lost it all. He also racked up thousands in debt due to credit card charges, legal fees, and tuition at a private school for his children. Just six years after his retirement, Ellis went from being a multi-millionaire to being completely broke!
