NFL legend Ray Guy, widely considered one of the greatest punters of all time, enjoyed a fruitful career for many years. However, Guy, like so many broken athletes, was forced to sell off his three Super Bowl rings after filing for bankruptcy back in 2011.
Believe it or not, the seven-time Pro-Bowler pocketed a total of $80,100 for the three rings he earned through his 14-year NFL career. After the sale, a saddened Guy told Augusta Chronicle, “I don’t want to talk about it. I’m not trying to be hateful, but sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
