Ray Williams – Medical Bills

Former basketball player Ray Williams could seemingly do it all on a basketball court. Williams teamed up with Michael Ray Richardson in the Knicks’ backcourt to dazzle the crowds at Madison Square Garden in the late 1970s and early 1980s. During his time as an NBA player, Williams managed to amass over $2 million.
However, Williams was too generous with his friends and family, and eventually, he ran out of money. In the mid-1990s, Williams declared bankruptcy, while his marriage broke up, and he moved to Florida in hopes of changing his luck. However, by the summer of 2010, Williams was homeless, living in a rusted Buick in Pompano Beach. He passed away at 58 from colon cancer.
