Before actor Tom Selleck stole the hearts of millions on shows like Magnum P.I., Friends, and Blue Bloods, he led a successful military career in the National Guard. In fact, the famous mustachioed actor had already been in minor TV and commercial roles when he joined! Still, that did not stop Selleck from serving in the 160th Infantry Regiment for over six years.
Afterward, Selleck decided to settle down and focus on a full-time acting career. But the actor stills likes to thank the military whenever possible. As of today, he works a spokesman for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. Great job, Sir!
