Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse has nothing to do with the famous cartoon character. It started as a simple casual dining chain in New Jersey, named after its owner. Like many failed restaurant chains, it grew in popularity in the ’80s and ’90s, the heyday of chain restaurants. The company enjoyed a long ride until 2011, when they declared bankruptcy and announced a restructuring plan.

In the wake of their bankruptcy, Praesidian Capital purchased the restaurants’ company, CB Restaurants Inc. for a whopping $9 million. There are still a few Charlie Brown’s around today, now operating under the name Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill. However, much of the menu remains the same, so if you’d like to relive your Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse memories, you can!
