Burger joints are cheap to operate, meaning many become failed restaurant chains, like The All American Burger. The chain became immediately popular after appearing in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Soon, The All American Burger’s chili and hickory burgers had everyone talking. Like many of these closed restaurant chains, the chain simply grew too quickly.

With its newfound cash, The All American Burger started purchasing other chains. Unfortunately, this led to bad buys and the company losing great deals of cash. In the early 1980s, All American Burgers filed for bankruptcy back in the early 1980s. Some locations held on, closing in the 90s and 00s.
