Lying on the boat, breathing hard, Hauser felt she would explode with all the emotions building inside her. On the one hand, the traumatic experience still filled her with dread and fear. At the same time, she could not help but feel elated with gratitude towards the whale. After all, it had saved her life and proved that she had chosen the right path in life!
As Hauser’s crew turned on the motor and started steering the boat towards the shore, one last incredible moment happened. The whale that had saved Hauser’s life breached once last time, looking right at the marine biologist. She believes that the whale did this to ensure that Hauser had escaped alive!
