Today, Denny has become a massive celebrity in the anthropology world. However, she’s not quite as famous as Lucy, the name for the most intact Australopithecus afarensis remains we have today.
After extensive research, Lucy has given us an incredible look at the history of our ancestors. Although she lived 3.2 million years ago and might have looked more like an ape than a human, Lucy and her people walked bipedally, lived in communities, and even used stone tools to consume meat! Believe it or not, there are even a few animal relatives we can look at to understand ourselves better!
