When The La’s 1988 song “There She Goes,” which you can never forget from the high singing of the title in the chorus, first hit the airwaves, it was actually considered quite controversial. Why? Well, to this day, people debate if it’s about girl walking by or a young woman using illicit drugs. That’s right! Still, the song found its way into the ’90s remake of the Parent Trap, starring Lindsay Lohan, and became a massive hit afterward.
While The La’s never found success in America again after “There She Goes,” they did manage to find moderate success in their native country of England, where they continue to reunite and perform every few years.
