Generally considered one of the greatest songs of all time, “O-o-h Child” by Five Stairsteps dominated the radio upon its release in 1970. So, in the years following its release, it saddened many that the group behind the song, the Five Stairsteps, never charted another mainstream single. Still, even today, the group remains as popular as ever, with “O-o-h Child” appearing in television shows and movies like How I Met Your Mother, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Scandal.
Unfortunately, since the ’70s, the Five Stairsteps have gone their separate ways, with many of the members passing away. However, there’s no question that music fans from around the world will remember them, thanks to “O-o-h Child.”
