Today, Marc Cohn is known as a “musician’s musician,” meaning he’s something of a cult legend among professionals, he’s only had one hit on the Billboard charts. That was the song “Walking in Memphis” from his first album of the same name. The song not only took the number one spot on the charts but also won Cohn the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1992.
While Cohn has never found mainstream success again since “Walking in Memphis,” that has not stopped him from enjoying a steady career in the music industry. Cohn continues to record and tour to this day.
