Even as an adult, Stuart always wondered what had become of her childhood best friend and pen pal, Fukue. “I wanted to know what happened to her, regardless. I knew it was possible that we wouldn’t find her. But I hoped that we would find some kind of trail that would tell us what happened to her,” Stuart later said of her time as a young adult.
So, as time went on and Stuart became more comfortable with her career as a musician, she started to dedicate more and more time to finding Fukue. It started with just an hour or two a week. However, her search quickly turned into a full-blown obsession!
