Before she became a globally-famous actress thanks to her role as Olivia Pope in the ABC drama Scandal, Kerry Washington jumped from one minor television role to another. One of these roles was on the third episode of Law & Order, entitled “3 Dawg Night,” where she played the character of Allie Lawrence.
For her role as the brilliant Olivia Pope, Washington received accolades from fans and award-giving bodies such as a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress. In 2018, Forbes named her one of the highest-paid actresses on television. Recently, Washington received another Emmy nomination for her performance on the Hulu show Little Fires Everywhere.
