As a result, they decided to create a spin-off movie based on one of the Conjuring’s most iconic characters: the haunted doll, Annabelle. While critics did not like Gary Dauberman’s spooky toy movie, audiences simply loved it!
Ultimately, Annabelle made $257 million against a budget of less than $7 million. That’s a profit of over 3000% – talk about an investment that paid off. Given Annabelle’s success, producers quickly produced a sequel to the spin-off, and rumor has it that a third is in the pipeline!
