While it may be hard to believe in this technological century, the members of the royal family are not allowed to have any personal social media accounts. That’s right! That means no Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or anything of the sort. It’s too bad, as a Duchess-led beauty tutorial would surely make millions on YouTube.
So, if you think you’re following Kate Middleton or any other royal on Twitter, we’re sorry to spoil your fun. But it is likely a fan account! Likewise, if you previously followed Meghan Markle, you noticed her Twitter and Instagram both shut down in early 2018, when she became a royal. However, there are a few official royal social accounts, run by PR hired by the Crown. For instance, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have an official Instagram account now, as do Prince William and Middleton.
