Before you start considering your Vera Bradley as an antique, know there’s still hope for America’s favorite quilted bag brand. For years now, Vera Bradley has been selling its products, which range from handbags to candles, primarily through other retailers. As a result, the company has started to cut back on their own brick and mortar stores.
Over the next two years, Vera Bradley plans on closing nearly half its stores, 50 out of 110 locations. The factory outlet and well-performing stores will remain open, while the company will continue to sell through stores like Bed Bath and Beyond and Hallmark. So Vera Bradley fans can breathe a sigh of relief as there’s still plenty of hope for the handbag brand!
