You would think, since business magnate Warren Buffet famously resides in Nebraska, that it would be a fantastic place to live! However, plenty of other Nebraska residents are moving out of the Cornhusker State. Furthermore, about 70% of those who opt to leave the state are doing so in order to search for new jobs.

While Nebraska has low unemployment, thereā€™s simply no growth in the market. You see, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the annual job creation rate is 0.8%. Whatā€™s more, some people believe that Nebraska has a ā€œdrain brainā€ because of the lack of high-paid jobs, meaning no one can move up. ā€œWe donā€™t need any more minimum wage, no-experience-required jobs,ā€ Hank Robinson, a researcher from the University of Nebraska at Omaha said.
