Kentucky is most famous for its wonderful bluegrass landscapes and the thrilling Kentucky Derby. However, that doesn’t seem to matter much for those moving out of the state. Despite its incredible features, Kentucky has one of the highest unemployment rates in America. That’s likey because, while most of its neighbors, like Ohio and West Virginia, are raising their minimum wage, Kentucky has been stuck at $7.25 an hour for the past decade!

As a result, there are more people deciding to move out of Kentucky to take a better job in neighboring states. However, Kentucky officials promise that the next couple of years should bring more opportunities in manufacturing and engineering. Maybe the state will see a turnaround!
