The States Americans Don’t Want To Live In Anymore (And Where They’re Moving To!)
See which states in the US people are moving out of most and why they’re leaving: from jobs to retirement!
3. Connecticut
Connecticut’s sunny beaches and beautiful towns attract thousands of visitors year-round. However, its residents are leaving faster than the state’s beautiful autumn leaves fall off the trees. What’s more, Nutmeggers are packing up and hoping they won’t be encountering too many potholes on the drive out. As taxes rise and roads crumble, its residents have no other choice but to leave.
Furthermore, people nearing the ages 55 to 64 are most likely to move out of Connecticut. According to United Van Lines, half of those who move out have incomes of $150,000 or more. Jim Shea, a lifelong Connecticut resident, and journalist said, “You want to go, go. Good luck to you. And don’t let the door hit you in the assets.”
